Week 8 NFL Picks

Quick hit style, as always, brought to you unofficially by the Philly Inquirer, who provides the lines. 8-6 last week, 18-23-1 on the year. On your mark, get set...GO!

Denver (+2) over SF (in London) - Boooooring...

Dallas (-6.5) vs. Jax - I mean, even with Kitna, right? Right? It can't be that bad in Dallas... right? On a serious note, how are the players possibly listening to Wade Phillips right now when the whole world knows he's gone after this year?

Detroit (-2.5) vs. Washington - Lock of the week. This game should be a pick 'em. If you're local, I'll bet you on this one, hit me up.

Jets (-6) vs. Green Bay - The Pack are banged up, I mean, REALLY banged up. Enough to put the division at risk.

Rams (-3) vs. Carolina - Lock of the week #2. Rams are a different team at home.

Dolphins (+1.5) at Cincy - Line says Bengals, but I took the bait with the Pats last week and it paid off, so let's go back to the proverbial well, shall we?

Buffalo (+7.5) at KC - Chiefs are also one of those "better at home" teams, but the Bills can actually score behind Ryan Fitzpatrick. Who would have thought we'd ever say that?

Chargers (-3.5) vs. Tennessee - I don't think the Chargers are this bad, but if they lose this one, I'm sold.

Tampa Bay (+3) at Arizona - Most of Tampa's games have been close this year, hence, take the points.

Seattle (+2.5) at Oakland - Taking the bait with a team that sucks on the road. Yes, I'm sticking with it even after typing that.

New England (-6) vs. Minnesota - Lock of the week #3. Favre busted up or Tavaris Jackson, no matter.

Saints (-1) vs. Pittsburgh - Headscratcher of a line. I would run away from this game if I were gambling, but since we "write" a sports blog, I feel obliged.

Indy (-5.5) vs. Houston - Only cause it's Monday night, Peyton on national TV, and I'm just not going against that.

Happy Haunting!
