A word of advice from Janet Reno, and breaking Ohio State news!!! Live video footage of Terrell Pryor!

Hey, remember me???  Figured not.  I've been away living my life... alright, that's a lie, I've been kinda lazy.  Sincerest of apologies for not commenting on LeBron choking in the Finals, the NHL listening to LB and moving a team back to Winnipeg, and the whole Tressel thing (HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!).

But luckily, we have a guest writer getting Logical Betting off the proverbial shnide... ladies, and gentlemen, I give you, Janet Reno!!!!!  With my comments included, of course.

Thank you, Madam Attorney General!

Ok, let’s get the disclosure out of the way. I am a Notre Dame junkie. I love Notre Dame football (LB Note - who knew???). I’ve been a fan for years. I follow ND football and recruiting much closer than any human being should follow anything. It’s embarrassing and pathetic actually (True).

Dear NCAA,

How’s everything going? Are you glad that you have had your head in the sand for the last 10 years? It doesn’t seem worth it right about now does it?
The bad news is that you are in a terrible position right now. You have your most storied programs embattled in massive corruption (we can only hope Notre Dame is next). It seems that each day you have a new program that is involved in some sort of scandal.

But the good news is that I am here to provide some solutions for you. They won’t be easy and they will require you to take your lumps over the next 6 months or so, but let’s face it, if things keep going the way they are for you, you will be taking your lumps for the next 5 years or so.

Here is what you have dealt with over the last year: Michigan getting slapped on the wrist for practicing too much, USC getting nailed (hahahahahaha), Tennessee’s AD resigning two days before they are to meet with you, North Carolina meeting with you, Colt Mccoy’s girlfriend saying publicly that Texas’ players receive benefits from boosters, West Virginia meeting with you, Ohio State’s players selling memorabilia to a drug dealer/tattoo artist, etc, etc, etc.  (And Notre Dame being a perpetual embarrassment to the sport).

As a college football fan, I fear that this is just the beginning. This stuff is happening almost everywhere. Kids are getting benefits at damn near every school out there and it’s time for the you and the federal government to go after the schools, coaches, and players. We as fans are tired of it and want results.

I, like many of you reading this, have heard a number of different solutions to the problem. I have heard everything ranging from paying the players small subsidies (dumbest idea on the planet) to eliminating the NCAA as an organization (unrealistic).  (Those were his comments, and I agree with all).

Here is how you fix your problems in the next 6 months:

We start with a 6 month reprieve for every school (We’ll call this the Auburn rule). 6 months is plenty of time to get your ducks in a row. If you report everything that you know during our 6 month reprieve, you will receive no sanctions, but your infractions will be reported publicly and you should be embarrassed. Your fans should know what type of team they are rooting for. I am willing to bet that we would all find out an amazing amount of misdeeds by EVERY school.

After the 6 month reprieve it is game on and this crap will never happen again (at least on this scale).

The action taken after the 6 months is three fold. 1) Schools 2) Coaches 3) Players

Let’s start with the schools themselves. Football is a money factory for many of these schools. They make money off of ticket sales, TV contracts, merchandise sales, etc. If the schools know about these infractions and don’t do anything about them (see Ohio State) there should be no TV or Bowl Games for 2-5 years depending on how serious the infractions are (Ohio State should get 5 years). Try selling your merchandise when no one can watch you on TV. Try recruiting when kids won’t be able to be seen on TV> They should also limit scholarships to 60-70 players maximum for the same amount of time. Any player not involved should be allowed to transfer to another school without having to sit out the year that is typically required of a transfer (this rule is already in effect). The schools will lose a fortune if they are hit. This would be a great deterrent and it would only take one school slipping up to let them all know that you are serious.

Next up are the coaches and administration. I am including head coaches, asst coaches, athletic director, secretaries, athletic trainers, etc in this category because it increases the chances of infractions being reported. They can report anonymously and their name will never be leaked. Anyone involved in the athletic department at a school that knows about their players infractions and does not report them immediately to the NCAA should be banned from working for a NCAA team for life. Period end of story. Jim Tressel and Bruce Pearl would be banned for life without question.  (Can we add Calipari now and just save everyone the time?)

Finally the players. The Fed’s should go after the players. What am I talking about? The players are being paid money by boosters. I am willing to bet that they aren’t reporting this money on their tax returns. The IRS should nail them for tax evasion. All of them. You want to take money and not pay taxes. We will report you to the IRS and you will deal with them. I have heard that IRS is a ton of fun to deal with. I hope the $500 you took from a booster was worth it. It should only take 1 or 2 players being drug through the IRS to get the word out that it simply isn’t worth it.

I want the game that I love so much to be great. I want it to be what it used to be. I want to see college athletes playing for the love of the game. I wan to see good competitive football without knowing that drama is happening off of the field. I think we all deserve that.

Sincerely,

Ms. Janet Reno, esq. **

Wow, that's one serious chick.  Be careful, Mr. Reno.  If there is a Mr. Reno.  On a lighter note, we now present you our BREAKING NEWS of LIVE VIDEO EVIDENCE of Terrell Pryor with loads of cash.  Your welcome.

**  This post was actually written by Fah T.  Unfortunately, we have no evidence that Janet Reno reads Logical Betting.  But, are the rumors that Chris Bosh is finally reading Logical Betting true???

I am so glad to see someone else use marine grade plywood for counter top underlayment. When we replaced an old, disintegrating chip board counter top underlayment we used the marine grade plywood. We then glued sheets of formica over it. This counter has held up beautifully. We used wood for our trim. This kitchen looks great!! Good job.
