Week 10 NFL Picks

Brought to you unofficially by the Philly Inquirer, supplying this week's lines, here are the LB picks of the week. Don't forget to email me or hit me on Facebook if you'd like to bet me on my locks. Assuming I have them, I actually haven't even looked at the lines yet. 34-33-1 on the year, after a 7-6 record last week, but 5-0 on locks. You've been warned. Here wes goes.

Falcons (-3) vs. Ravens - Call it a hunch.

Colts (-7) vs. Bengals - Going to ride the Bengals losing til they get me. Tempted to make this a lock... let me get back to you on that.

Houston (+1.5) at Jacksonville - Texans are one of my darling teams. Everything says Jags should win this game, e.g., off a bye, Houston terrible pass defense. However, LB says you should always bet the better team, when possible. It's possible here.

Titans (-2) at Miami - Chad Pennington is still in the league? Apparently, because he replaces Henne this week. Never, ever bet on a QB switch. Ever. Got it?

Bears (+1) vs. Minnesota - Only because everyone loves Minnesota to cover this game, and that line seems fishy. My Bears aren't that good.

Lions (+3) at Buffalo - Lions/Bills a pick on a neutral field? Hmmmmm... line says Buffalo. Taking the bait on this one, and would not bet it under any circumstance. Well, if Mojo texts or emails and wants to bet a beer next weekend, I'm in, only cause I'm in hoc to him a beer since his daughter was born before ARG. I'll take either side, Mojo.

Jets (-3) at Cleveland - Taking... the... bait. If the Browns win this, they are officially going to be my sleeper for next year.

Tampa Bay (-7) vs. Carolina - Lock it up, love the Bucs here. Carolina stinks. They are my new Cincy, just keep betting against them. This line should be 10, Vegas has no respect for Tampa. Tampa had a shot last week in Atlanta, should have had the lead with 2 minutes to go. The Ravens played them the same way. LB calls it a lock.

Denver (+1) vs. Kansas City - Our first "what the..." line of the week. Gotta follow the LB rules on this one.

San Francisco (-6) vs. St. Louis - Followed by the second "what the..." line of the week. The 49ers would be a 3 point favorite on a neutral field? Hells no. Give the points.

Arizona (-3) vs. Seattle - Does anyone care about this game? You should because one of these teams could easily make the playoffs out of the NFC West. If you think I'm kidding, check the standings, then wait to bet on whoever plays them in the first round. Give 20 if you have to that week.

Cowboys (+13.5) at NY Giants - Just seems like too much to give against a team with talent. Ride back on the wagon. Something tells me I'm going to regret that pick.

Pittsburgh (-4.5) vs. New England - This was a lock contender. Sunday night in Pittsburgh, Pats seemed a mess last week. Something tells me they could bounce back from that embarrasing Browns loss, so no lock, but let's just say I really like the Steelers here.

Eagles (-3) at Washington - Our final "what the..." line, but I'm taking the bait this time. I'll make this one Lock #2 and avoid the Colts, just in case that Indy/Cincy game becomes a shoot out. And yes, I realize that making this a lock defies my "if the line seems off, bet the other way" rule, but I like the Eagles revenge factor to overcome.

Alright, folks, the Locks of the Week are Tampa -7 over Carolina, and Philly -3 over Washington. If you'd like a friendly wager, email, comment, or Facebook me. Mojo, same on the Lions/Bills, if you'd like to bet a beer on your Lions. Enjoy your weekends, full post tomorrow on the teams/fans I feel bad for. Hasta.
