Treating my ADHD and Week 4 Picks

Since the NFL teams all get bye weeks, I'm taking at least one, too.  That, and I'm half done with like two or three "pick intros," if thou will, and none of them are done.  Some people suffer from ADHD..... I enjoy it.

But before we get to the picks, its time for our newest segment, "Proof of Mayan Doom."  In this week's installment, we discover that the Mayans are slowly breaking down our law enforcement protection.  A small New Mexico town recently had it's sheriff resign among rumors he was not allowed to carry a gun, leaving it with a police force of... a dog.  No, I'm not making this up.  Other than the baddest ass dog I heard of, Indy, (find this guy if you want to know about Indy), I'm not sure our faithful canines can stand up to laser beams fired by vengeful Mayans ripping our Earth (sans the LB bomb shelter) from it's core. 

One other note about the picks... I post these based on Tuesday/Wednesday lines.  Often the general public bets them in one direction or another, so be sure to get the best line for the team you like.  This is important because 1. the general public tends to get it wrong, 2. you could get better value later in the week, 3. LB may or may not make you bet on LB locks based on the current line, and 4. I fully admit I'm part of the general public.

Week 5 Picks - 5-9-1, 1-1 on Locks (2-0 unpublished locks dammit); 25-32-1, 1-2 Locks overall

St. Louis (+1) vs. Arizona - That's a funny, funny line.  First lame Thursday nighter of the year.  Whose genius idea was that for Week 5 prime time?

NY Giants (-9) vs. Cleveland - Cleveland is 3-1 vs. the spread.  Just saying that's why this isn't a lock.

Indy (+7) vs. Green Bay - Bit of a head scratcher line. 

Pittsburgh (-3) vs. Philadelphia - LOVE the Steelers here.  Off a bye, Eagles maybe the luckiest 3-1 team ever.  Philly sports talk is so funny... last week they were ready to kill someone, this week they were nicknaming their beloved defense and saying they wouldn't trade Vick for RG3.  And it's only Week 4!

Atlanta (-3) at Washington - I saw this at 2.5 somewhere, meaning that WASHINGTON would be a half point favorite on a neutral field.  WHAT???  I'm going way against the "watch the fishy line" rule, and making this a lock.

Baltimore (-5) at Kansas City - You know, I've been picking a lot of favorites, and you can pretty much see where that's getting me this year.  I've also given up on KC.  Doesn't this have 24-14 written all over it?  Why isn't this a 7 point line?

Miami (+4) at Cincinnatti - Don't ask me why, cause I honestly have no idea.

Jacksonville (+5) vs. Chicago - Potential let down game for the Bears... they win it by a field goal.

Carolina (-3) vs. Seattle - Lock #2.  Cam outscores the crap out of Seattle.

San Francisco (-10) vs. Buffalo - Lock #3.  49ers are piiiiiiissed.  Not sure why, probably that Minnesota loss.

Tennessee (+6) at Minnesota - You know, Minnesota looks legit.  Lots of big wins.  Due a let down.

Denver (+7) at New England - I'm not sold on the Pats being all the way back yet.  I watched some of that Buffalo game, and Buffalo couldn't stop Fah T from running for 100 yards.

New Orleans (-3) vs. San Diego - Okay, seriously, what the f**k line is that???  New Orleans can't play D, San Diego can score, New Orleans a pathetic 0-4... Lock #4.  Yeah, I got 4 of them!  I want .500, baby.

Houston (-7.5) at NY Jets - Te-bow! Te-bow! Te-bow!
