Thanksgiving Day games

Was watching Sportscenter this morning, and apparently there is still talk of rotating the Thanksgiving Day games in the NFL. Thankfully, the NFL is not actually considering this. Last time I checked, isn't Thanksgiving all about tradition? Think about it... the winter holidays vary by religions, so we're not all celebrating the same time. This is one of the few days we all get together, have our own traditions, and just chill for a day.

So what if the football is bad? Is it the NFL's fault the Lions suck? No. Despite their futility, they have a crazy loyal fanbase, and so does Dallas, obviously. The Lions will come around and be competitive on Thanksgiving again one day... maybe. Either way, NFL rules state that every team gets at least one nationally televised game per year, so there's no escaping the pathetic Lions for one day every year. Why not have it be when we can eat, drink, be around family and friends, and be merry? Maybe they should just have them play another bad team that day, and kill two of the required bad teams on TV games with one stone. Would have been great last week with the Browns in town.

FYI - I love the Cowboys -13 in the second game. For those who know my pool emails, that's a 10% commission if you bet it after reading this.
