Army/Navy props and the Week 13 picks

So little to do, so much time... wait, that was pre-children.  Check that.  You gotta walk before you can crawl.  Hang on...

It will always be funny...
LB was THISCLOSE to taking the entire week off.  Then, ARG pushed through the croup (if your kids have had this, my thoughts go out to you), LB, Jr. decided to sleep like a 2 month old, and I came up with one more day before I gotta go back to work.  My dad asked if I was looking forward to getting back... my response?  "Not even a little bit."

I did remember a few more things from my bucket list I accidentally left off the first time, so let's hit those before a quick picks hitter, ya?

1.  Be a season ticket holder - soon to be checked off when Rutgers joins the Big Ten.  Hit me up if you want to go in together.

2.  Sit court side for an NBA game - wife and I almost knocked this off the last year LeBron was in Cleveland.  We were gonna do it here in Philly, but he wasn't going to play (they had clinched the one seed), and we could only get third row.  We want the ones right on the court.

3.  Attend Army/Navy game - checked off for about the last 6 years.  Always go with Major Mojo, and let me tell you, you gotta go to this game.  So fun.  Never seen such bitter rivals with such love for each other.  There's an air of excitement, pride, competition, love, sport... from the tailgates to the end of the game.  Mojo and I have a standing "we must start drinking by 10am" rule going.  Last year, I let us down, getting there at 10:03am cause I couldn't find our tailgate (in my defense, they had moved lots).  This year, he's gotta carry the flag, as I'll be running a little later with the newborn stuff going on.  While you're doing this, you should check out the Team Red, White, and Blue tailgate with us.  They work with veterans, with a notable interest in helping veterans with PTSD.  Great organization, fabulous tailgate.  Other than the fact Mojo works really closely with them, the organization is perfect.

This year, Army, please!!!!

Finally, a reader weighs in with his "blog post" about the NHL lockout.  This, via the Twitters via the Facebooks - "Hockey is great, but the caretakers of the sport are killing it while squabbling over a few bucks like a couple of young siblings.  Is that long enough?"  No, my friend, not for a full post, but I think you summed it up quite nicely.

Week 13 Picks - 6-6-1/1-0-1/0-1 (ahhh!); 79-80-2/14-15-1/7-2

Atlanta (-3) vs. New Orleans - Atlanta is getting no respect.  Do they earn it here?

Chicago (-4) vs. Seattle - Yep.

Houston (-6) at Tennessee - Lock #1.  Weird line, though.  Definite teaser game.

Miami (+8) vs. New England - Like that Miami team a little bit, and the line seems short.

Buffalo (-5.5) vs. Jacksonville - You know your team is bad when BUFFALO is giving 5.5.

Indianapolis (+4.5) at Detroit - K.

Kansas City (+2.5) vs. Carolina - I don't think I've gotten a Chiefs game right all year.

Arizona (+4.5) vs. NY Jets - They both stink.  Grabbing points.

San Francisco (-7) at St. Louis - Lock #2.  And a teaser.  And hoping Colin K. hooks up my fantasy team a little longer.

Green Bay (-9) vs. Minnesota - Remember when the Vikings won a bunch of games early this year?  Me neither.

Tampa Bay (+7) at Denver - Just a cover, no win.

Cleveland (+1.5) at Oakland - Boooooring......

San Diego (-1.5) vs. Cincy - San Diego actually showed some heart last week.

Dallas (-10) vs. Philadelphia - Wow... look at that line.  Damn, Philly...

NY Giants (-2.5) at Washington - Lock #3.

Three Team Teaser - Houston +3, San Francisco +2, Dallas -1.  Sub in Green Bay (PK) or NY Giants (+6.5).

Longer post next week... maybe.  Definitely by BCS title time.  Contact Logical Betting at logicalbetting@gmail.com and twitter.com/logicalbetting.  Nap time.  Hasta.

We beat Air Force this year, so we can take home the commander in chief trophy. I am really feeling good about it this year. Papa Mojo will be in attendance again, snowmobile suit and all! Go Army!
