Principles and the Week 9 Picks

Survived the Hurricane a-okay, and thanks to all who texted and emailed to check on us and the Mojos up in the NYC area.  You're all probably wondering a few other things...

Suck it, Sandy
1.  Who won last week's picks challenged with MBS and his daughter, LBS?

2.  How am I handling the Tigers loss?

Well, kids, I have very few a couple principles in life.  Allow me to share them...

1.  When things get bad, remember what really matters in life.

2.  Never write a Tigers moratorium two days after a record setting hurricane (the 2nd in 15 months) rolls through your area.

So you have to wait a week to hear my Tigers thoughts because, quite honestly, I'm in denial I was too drunk to remember it all I didn't think about it much the last couple days.  BUT, I will answer your first question.  The results are in, and after careful mathematical analysis, we determined the following:

LB - 9-5
MBS - 6-8
LBS - 10-4 (gentleman, she's single!!!)

I'm sorry, is that a three game beating???  Granted, we both went 1-2 on locks, but hey, who's counting?  Being as generous as I am, I offered him a chance to email an apology explanation for this week's post.  Here's what he had to say:

"Did I fall on my face?  Bad week!"

That's it???  You send me that email last week, get your a** handed to you by me and your second born (devilishly cute, football knowledgeable, sports fanatic, and single, boys!) daughter, offer to wager said daughter for ARG (also devishly cute, but assures me she won't ever date...honestly, she answers "no" to everything), and that's all you have to say?  I pressed him for more and got...

"Sad week for us."

Ummm, by us, I can only assume you meant, "me."  Anyways, I kid because I love and he's one of my most loyal readers.  For what it's worth, I'm always up for guest posts and emails around here since I take this blog so seriously.  So here's the quick picks for next week, with the Tigers moratorium left for next week.

What's that?  You want the evidence of Mayan domination for the week?  Uhhh, did you miss the 900 mile wide hurricane that just hit here?  That's from Philly to Chicago, people.  What more do you want?

Week 9 Picks - 9-5/1-2/1-0 last week.  52-55-1 overall, 7-10 Locks, 4-0 3 Team Teasers

Kansas City (+9.5) at San Diego - Assuming the Chiefs use Charles.

Indy (+1) vs. Miami - These teams confuse me.

Houston (-10) vs. Buffalo - LB Lock.  Three team tease #1.

Baltimore (-3.5) at Cleveland - Cleveland is frisky, though.  Possible teaser team.

Denver (-3.5) at Cincy - LB Lock.  Peyton hitting his stride.

Chicago (-3.5) at Tennessee - This line scares me.

Jacksonville (+3.5) vs. Detroit - Another weird line.

Green Bay (-11) vs. Arizona - John Skelton, everyone's Vegas cash cow.  LB Lock.  Definite three teamer.

Carolina (+3) at Washington - Hoping this game is on TV.

Seattle (-5) vs. Minnesota - Odd Minnesota team, eh?

Tampa Bay (+1) at Oakland - Tampa coming on...

NY Giants (-3) vs. Pittsburgh - Lock #4.  Three teamer coming...

Atlanta (-4) vs. Dallas - Taking the bait.  I wouldn't bet this.

New Orleans (-3) vs. Philadelphia - The Eagles inept offense against the Saints inept defense.  That line seems short, I bet it gets bet up to about 4.

LB Three Team Teaser - Green Bay -2, NY Giants +6, Houston -1.  I would think about moving Tampa +8 over the Giants, if you think the Steelers are a good team.  I don't think they are, but it's your money.  Atlanta +5 is probably a good one, too.  If they lose, probably by no more than a field goal.

Thanks again for all the texts/emails.  Contact Logical Betting at logicalbetting@gmail.com and twitter.com/logicalbetting.  Time to go read the Tigers end year talk.  Sigh...
